10 Things you did not know about JENNIFER "J-Ro" ROSALES
A career spanning 18 years in the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LGPA), highlighted by two wins plus a World Cup of Golf Championship. Looking back, the biggest factor for the longetivity and success was her feel, feel for swing, feel for body movements, feel for clubs and, most of all, feel for the game. As an old timer, she says, before it was all about feel as there were no golf simulators, no adjustable loft and face of club heads, no magical shafts that were tailored and no golf that flew so far and straight.
"I trusted myself and accustomed on the fly and I think that was why I made it. When you feel the game, no matter what golf throws at you- you will always prevail." - Rosales told The Perfect Drive PH
1. I love pets; they travel with me all over the world. Today, I have 23 dogs and 22 cats.
2. On my down time I love to bake and cook, pasta dishes are my specialty.
3. On the tour I would always watch movies in between round to keep relaxed and amused, take my mind of the game.
4. Growing up my idol was my brother Gerald.. he was sooooo good!
5. If I play well, I will do the same routine for the next day (starting when I got out of bed) or eat the same food I ate right before I played the previous day.
6. I am a big LAKERS fan!!! Started when I was in high school... the world will stop when the lakers play.
7. After my first big LPGA check... I gave myself a BMW 7 Series with 26-inch rims.
8. I have a lot of tattoos. Can you guess where?
9. 6 months in the game, I made my 1st Hole in One with a 7 iron at the old #3 of Camp Aguinaldo. I have 10 total Hole in Ones for my career.
10. When I was 29 years old... I feel in love for the the first time.
Rosales retired in 2017 and decided to get into certified teaching as her way of giving back to the sport that gave her a lot of good memories and allowed her to showcase her talents.
"When I turned pro, I did not have anyone to talk to or guide me in the right direction. I had to figure things out on my own. I said to myself when I retire I`ll be that person."
